How to Replace a Car Air Filter
1. Preparation
Safety: Turn off the engine and allow it to cool. Disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Procedure
Step 1: Open the hood and locate the air filter housing (a black plastic box near the engine).
Step 2: Unfasten the housing clips or screws. Remove the cover gently.
Step 3: Extract the old filter. Clean the housing with a cloth or compressed air.
Step 4: Insert the new filter, ensuring alignment with the housing’s guide tabs.
Step 5: Reattach the cover and secure clips/screws. Start the engine to verify smooth operation.
3. Important Notes
Replace the filter every 10,000 km or annually.
Always match the filter size to your vehicle specifications.
Never install the filter backward to maintain optimal airflow.
